本：JavaServer Faces Programmingは古い

JavaServer Faces Programming by Budi Kurniawan[books.mcgraw-hills.com]は2003年10月30日にリリースされた本なので、もちろん JSF specificationのファイナルリリース、それどころかbeta specificationのリリースより前のものなんですね。
本がでた後にスペックが変わってしまって、Greg Bolinger[radio.javaranch.com]のレビュー[saloon.javaranch.com]にも、"None of the examples in the book would work with the newest specification."ってありますけど、これじゃもうダメですね。

The main problem with this book was not knowing how much of it held water with the new spec. Reading through it I kept wondering what changed. I kept having to bounce back and forth between the book and the specification from Sun for comparison to see if what I was reading was still accurate.
